The Government of Sindh has announced a final extension for the mandatory NADRA biometric verification process for vehicle transfers. This is a crucial update for anyone planning to buy or sell a vehicle in the province.
You now have until August 13, 2025, to transfer a vehicle without the seller’s biometric verification. After this date, the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Department of Sindh will make biometric verification mandatory for the transfer of all types of vehicles, including private cars, bikes, and commercial vehicles.
If you own a vehicle and the vehicle is still not on your name, it’s highly recommended that you complete the transfer process before this deadline to avoid any future complications.
Once the deadline passes, both the buyer and seller will be required to be physically present for biometric verification at a NADRA e-Sahulat center or an Excise and Taxation Department office to complete the transfer.
This final extension is your last opportunity to complete vehicle transfers under the current rules. After August 13, the process will become more stringent, and biometric verification will be a compulsory step.
